Though summertime may feel like it is a lifetime away right now, there is no harm in getting ready for the warmer weather. If you are prepared for it during the winter, then you will be able to enjoy the entirety of the season in style. If nothing else, it gives you something to look forward to! You will want to find some activities that you can do in your own back garden so you and your family can enjoy some quality time together.
Nothing screams summer more than a good old fashioned BBQ! It’s the perfect way to gather the whole family around, starting with a heated debate about how long everything should be cooked for!
Nothing Beats a BBQ
So many different types exist these days, but you will firstly have to choose between a charcoal or gas powered model. For someone who is very passionate about the art of barbecuing (usually men for some reason!) the charcoal models are more traditional, though they often do take between 30 and 45 minutes to fire up. If you are likely to have barbecues on a regular basis, then you are probably better off with a gas model which is much easier to light and can be ready for cooking within a matter of minutes.
If you live in an area where rain is more likely, you can get a BBQ with a cover so you can be prepared if it does suddenly start pouring down.
Water of LifeThe first thing that kids often want to do when the weather gets a little warmer is play with water. There are plenty of paddling pools available in all different shapes and sizes to suit every budget. Cheaper still are garden sprinklers with a range of different settings that kids absolutely love jumping through.
If you are lucky enough to have a full sized swimming pool, you will want to make sure everything is in full working order after it has not been used throughout the wintertime. Think about choosing the right water cooled high performance swimming pool pump or any other types of cleaners or heaters you may need.
We moved into a house with a pool and soon realized the solar heater was leaking, the filters in the pump hadn't been changed in years, and the entire pool needed to be re-plastered.
