I was recently chosen to review the Baby Cargo 200 Series lightweight umbrella stroller. What I was honestly expecting to receive was just a typical low quality umbrella stroller. I’ve never associated umbrella stroller with the words “high quality” until now.
The fabric is so soft. I was used to the little $20 umbrella stroller from Babies R’ Us with the stiff, tent-like material. The fabric on the Baby Cargo stroller is so much better quality.
At first glance, the Baby Cargo stroller looks like it might be on the heavier side. It’s actually really light at 13.7 pounds and super easy to carry. Even though the frame is made of lightweight aluminum, the stroller is still extremely sturdy and can carry up to 50 pounds.
Size: 42”Hx12”Wx12.5”D.
It’s even rust-free!
For me, a storage pocket is a MUST on a stroller. The Baby Cargo stroller has a buttoned back pocket which is perfect for storing some extra diapers, cell phone, keys, etc. Another great accessory is the cup holder. I’m always toting around a water bottle so this is perfect for me. As you can see in the picture, I put my phone and keys in the cup holder. I don’t recommend doing this, as the keys might fall out. The stroller also has an under stroller cargo basket. These are perfect for shopping. I love to stick my shopping bags in the cargo basket. You can even stick a small diaper bag in it.
My old umbrella stroller was extremely awkward to carry. Baby Cargo has completely fixed this problem. The 200 series stroller has a shoulder strap and a handle. The stroller is extremely easy to fold up and lock. You can see in Baby Cargo’s picture below the handle on the side.
The stroller has an adjustable water-resistant canopy with a clear viewing window on top. I love having this because I can easily check on my daughter.
The handles on the stroller are taller than my old umbrella stroller. This makes it so much more comfortable to push the stroller for long periods of time. This is also great for those tall parents out there. Taller handles aren’t something that you typically think of when shopping for a stroller but they are so nice to have.
The wheels easily lock and unlock and roll very smoothly. We even rolled it over grass to test it out and the stroller did a great job. The wheels are a little bit noisy on uneven surfaces like asphalt because they are plastic. The noise didn’t bother me too much but the ride was a little bit bumpy for my daughter.
The 200 series stroller is great for the newborn through toddler years. The five-point harness system securely holds your child in the stroller without hurting him/her. They are easy to adjust and easy to snap and unsnap.
My two favorite things about the Baby Cargo stroller are the multi-position adjustable back rest and adjustable leg rest. My daughter almost always falls asleep in her stroller. With the adjustable back and leg rests I can easily recline her and prop her feet up. This is a life saver and allows her to nap longer and more comfortably.
Okay, one more of my favorite features of the stroller… the rain cover is INCLUDED. You no longer have to purchase a separate rain cover. Thanks Baby Cargo for thinking of this.

Price: I found the 200 series stroller on Amazon for $149.99. I feel like the price is reasonable for what you get with this stroller. The adjustable back and leg rest are worth the price.
This stroller is definitely a must have for your baby registry.
I’m excited to share with you the gorgeous Georgi Bag. Baby Cargo has come out with a fashionable bag that doubles as a stroller bag.
I hope my review has helped you in your hunt for the perfect lightweight umbrella stroller. I recommend purchasing the Baby Cargo 200 stroller over those “dinky” store brand umbrella strollers.
