If you’ve been following us on our social media sites ((Yello, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)) all week, you’ll see what a great time we have been having in Carmel and Monterey, CA. Thankfully, the weather has been wonderful during our trip but we hear the rain is on the way. California is in desperate need of rain right now so we will take what we can get.
Prior to coming on this trip I really had no idea how family-friendly Carmel and Monterey are. And by family-friendly, I mean ‘suitable for toddlers,’ There are so many activities and entertainment options for families with kids AND dogs. So feel free to pack up the pooch and head out to California’s central coast.
About half of the restaurants in Carmel are dog friendly, meaning they have patios where you and your pooch can dine. Everywhere you look you see water bowls out for the dogs and I’ve heard some restaurants even have dog menus. There are friendly pooches all over Carmel Beach and it’s suprisingly really clean. Pet owners out here are very good about cleaning up after their pets.
My little Charlotte had a blast today at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Dennis the Menace Park. Stay tuned for a post on this later on…
