Avoid Public Wi-Fi Security Issues While Traveling with the TunnelBear App

You all know that my family and I do a lot of traveling – and when we travel we like to post lots of pictures on our social media pages.  When we travel out of the country we never pay for the roaming capability in hopes that our hotels/condos have wifi.  While this has always worked out just fine for us, there are the possibilities of running into issues – just like they did during the Olympics in Russia.  Luckily, an app called TunnelBear has worked to eliminate any potential issues to make it much safer for travelers to use their internet devices.

Setting up the TunnelBear app is pretty easy.  

1)  Download the free app from the app store.

2) Follow the app’s instructions for a quick set-up.

3)  From the iOS home screen, tap “Settings”

4)  Tap “VPN”  (virtual private network)

5) Select a counry

6)  Switch VPN ON or OFF in the same area.
