Let’s face it. Mornings can get a little crazy when you have kids. Especially during the school year. I mean, we wake up, rush to get breakfast cooked, eaten and cleaned, make sure teeth are brushed, clothes and shoes are on, backpacks are loaded, lunches are made, etc. I admit that I’m a bit of a “convenience mom” when it comes to breakfast food, as you may remember from some of my previous articles. I also rely on convenient breakfast foods when I have lots of work to get done, as you can tell from the images in this article.

Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles
I was recently introduced to these awesome new breakfast to-go cups by Jimmy Dean which can be found at Walmart. My husband and I love Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, so we had a feeling we would love these, too. Going into this product trial, I thought that these Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles were just precooked cups of eggs, meat and cheese that you microwave- but it’s much better than that. Each Simple Scramble cup comes with a k-cup looking container that contains raw, yes you read that right, raw eggs, plus a packet of meat and cheese to mix in. And the meat is that famously delicious Jimmy Dean breakfast meat that we all love.
The Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles currently come in three varieties: Sausage, Bacon and Meat Lovers and are available at Walmart near the precooked bacon. I personally love the sausage the best, but meat lovers is the best of both worlds.
How to Prepare
To cook the Jimmy Dean Simple Scramble breakfast cup, you simply pour the raw eggs into the cup, microwave, stir, add your meat and cheese, stir, microwave again, and voila! It’s the perfect breakfast to-go for busy people.
I have no shame in the fact that I look for breakfast foods that are quick and easy, can be taken on-the-go, yet are still filling and nutritious. And Jimmy Dean is a trusted brand in our household, so it’s a natural attraction. These Simple Scrambles are sold individually which can add up to be a bit costly, but when you know that you need a good breakfast that is quick, easy and can even be taken on-the-go, you will want to be sure you are stocked up with Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles.
An example of a scenario that the Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles came in handy for me is, just the other day, I had to leave for the airport at 4:30 a.m. I didn’t have time to cook a proper breakfast, nor did I want to wake the entire family up, so this is where the Simple Scrambles were perfect. I ate on-the-go in my car and was even able to drop a little hot sauce into the cup before I left, because eggs and hot sauce are amazing together! The cup fit into my car’s cup holder, so I could drive safely and eat when I stopped.
Also, my daughters don’t eat very much in the mornings, so I am able to divide one cup of Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles between the two of them, which helps save a little money. I feel like I’m giving them a good breakfast when we are crunched for time, and they are happy because these breakfasts are tasty.
