Summer is unofficially here and I am more than ready to start getting creative with my cocktails. The Paloma has become more popular over the last few years amongst us millennials, but a lot of people couldn’t tell you the difference between a Paloma and Margarita.
The difference between a Paloma and Margarita:
The difference between a Paloma and Margarita are simple. A Margarita contains tequila and fresh lime juice, but it gets its sweetness triple sec or cointreau. A Paloma gets its sweetness from Italian grapefruit soda and tastes like a little less sweet margarita.
Paloma Blanca Recipe
This Paloma recipe is the perfect blend of wine and tequila and gives me all the vacation vibes.

Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh grapefruit juice
- 6oz tequila
- 4oz simple syrup
- 4oz lime juice
- 750ml bottle of Frontera Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
Directions
- Mix ingredients together
- Pour into glass of ice
- Top with soda water
