The roof is one of the biggest protections that your home has, and you need to ensure that you are checking it regularly. You don’t want there to be an issue up there that can be easily fixed, only for you to not know that it exists and end up with a huge problem. The longer that you leave things, the worse they get, so even if it’s a small issue now, there’s no guarantee that it will be by the time you notice there is a problem in the first place.
So, every couple of weeks, after bad weather, or just randomly, get up there and check your roof. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

The final task we’re going to point out is cleaning your dryer vents. It’s not a particularly pleasant job, and it’s one of the most commonly forgotten ones. But, it needs doing, so make some time when you can, and get in there.
It’s common to forget about certain things when you are cleaning out your home, but you’ve got to do your best not to.
