We recently moved to a gorgeous house in my hometown of Escalon, CA. When we bought the house it had mismatched laminate flooring in each room. At first we thought we could live with the floor, but came to realize that it was extremely cheap flooring and was, frankly, ugly! So we decided to get some new laminate flooring put in. There were so many colors to choose from but we settled on a beautiful dark-hand carved floor.
We have always loved the look of dark floors in homes. We thought it would be so easy to keep it clean and it would be great for the baby because it would expose anything that she could potentially put in her mouth and allow us to pick it up right away.
Well, it seems that our theory was exactly right. The dark floor exposes EVERYTHING. Especially when you have a dog, a cat and a toddler running around. Don’t get me wrong, we absolutely love our flooring choice, but had to adjust to the effort it takes to keep it looking nice.
We are constantly having to pick up Cheerios, crumbs, cat hair, dog hair, human hair….and anything else we track throughout the house all day. I have struggled to find a broom that gets the job done with very little effort. It seems as though a regular household broom leaves lots of crumbs behind and a vacuum risks scratching the floors.
Thankfully, I was able to test out the Bona Microfiber dusting pad and Bona Laminate Floor Mop. I’m so glad I did because Bona makes life easier!
Bona is a company out of Colorado and has been around and has been used by professionals for over 90 years. They feature many other products to keep your floors looking beautiful, such as floor Polish and FloorPoly. They even make a household cleaner!

Here is a picture of my floor before using the Microfiber Dusting Cloth & Bona Laminate Floor Mop: YUCK!
Clearly, this floor needed to be cleaned! I was dreading the work until my new Bona arrive at the front door.
The Bona Mop came with only 5 pieces and they were super easy for me to assemble. I didn’t even need my husband’s help! Woo hoo!

All of the parts snapped together very easily. I was able to follow the instructions on the side of the box without any problems.

The Stone, Tile & Lamite Cleaning Solution is:
“Easy and safe for sealed hard surface floors including: linoleum, stone, terrazzo, vinyl, sealed porous marble, laminate, and no-wax sealed tile (ceramic, Mexican Saltillo, quarry). Waterborne, non-toxic, and leaves no dulling residue.”

The Bona Microfiber Dusting pad:
“Reaches wherever dust settles. Used with Bona Floor Mops on both hardwood and stone, tile, and laminate floors. “Super Electrostatic Action” attracts and lifts dust, pet hair, microparticles, and common household allergens from your floors’ surface.”

The Microfiber pad was so easy to attach to the Bona mop. It literally just attaches sort of like velcro. And it stays put!!
What I loved about the cleaning solution was that it didn’t streak and it dried quickly. It doesn’t have a harsh “cleaner” smell, either. The cleaner sprays out in a nice fine myst so it doesn’t drench your floor.
Here is the finished product! Ahhh…a nice clean, beautiful floor! And with all of the extra time I saved using the Bona system, I was able to even enjoy a nice hot bath afterwards! 🙂

“Bona waterborne floor cleaners are safe for floors, families, and the environment and GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified. Bona’s specially-developed non-toxic and biodegradable formula also limits the harmful effects of downstream pollution.”
What more could you ask for? A safe floor cleaning solution that saves you time!!
I just bought this based on your review. Thanks!
