FunBites
How many of us have picky eaters? Or how many of us have toddlers who are learning to feed themselves and need their food cut into small pieces? Or how many of us just want to jazz our food up a bit?
Well, I fall into the “self-feeding-toddler” category. I usually take time to tear or cut my little one’s food up so she can feed herself, which takes time. Time that I don’t want to waste.
FunBites has come up with a quick and fun way to make food more appealing to kids of all ages! They’ve created the FunBites Cube It & the FunBites Luv It! These kitchen tools make cutting food so much easier!
I was lucky enough to get one to review! I was sent the FunBites Cube It. I couldn’t wait for lunch time to try it out! I made my little one a simple (messy) PB&J sandwich. The FunBites cutter cuts all sorts of foods from sandwiches to fruit to pancakes!
My FunBites came with a cute little instruction card with these easy to read instructions:
- Place FunBites cutter on top of food. Remove popper top and set to the side.
- Grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times to cut through the food.
- Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces!
The FunBites Cube It is so easy to hold with it’s nice wide handles. I was able to grab both handles and press down on the sandwich with no problems. If you notice, in the picture above, the bottom of the Cube It is slightly curved so you can rock it back and forth to make sure all of the food is cut completely.
My PB&J was a little sloppy so I made a little bit of a mess cutting it up. But in the picture above you can see the nice {neat} little squares.
Then I grabbed the popper, inserted it on top of the Cube It and out popped 12 cute little mini sandwich squares!
You can see in the picture below how much of the sandwich was left over after cutting out the little squares. I would suggest using smaller bread slices to avoid any waste. Of course, Mommy ate the edges of the sandwich :))
You can see my little one with her chipmunk cheek full of her PB&J. They were so easy for her to grab and eat. FunBites definitely makes meal time so much easier for a toddler. And I feel so much better knowing that their products are BPA free!
Some other foods I would like to cut up are cheese, lunch meat, watermelon, grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes & pizza.
The FunBites Luv It cuts food into a heart shape with 2 little mini hearts. Kids can have fun piecing together their food like a puzzle! This would make a cute Valentine’s Day gift for your kids.
