Travel Day Outfit: Casual Dress with Sneakers

Everyone loves to be comfy on travel days, whether you’re flying or road trippin’. And while I love to dress comfortably, I also want to look semi put together when I arrive at my destination. Most of my blog trips have a pretty packed itinerary which means I’m going straight from the airport in an Uber to lunch with other influencers or straight to an event of some kind. A casual dress with sneakers is the perfect travel day outfit and goes from travel to evening effortlessly.

Some of the most iconic and classic brands’ clothing are so trendy right now, and we’ve seen brands like Tommy Hilfiger all over Pinterest and Instagram. We’ve seen Tommy Hilfiger activewear on some of our favorite celebs like Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift and I’m absolutely loving some of the Tommy activewear that Macy’s has to offer right now.

Travel Day Outfit

My latest travel outfit was inspired by some of the looks I’ve seen on Pinterest lately. This Tommy Hilfiger Color-blocked Long-Sleeve Shirtdress can be paired with leggings if you get chilly while traveling but is also perfect by itself. If you have TSA Precheck and don’t have to take off your shoes through airport security, a cute pair of sneakers is a must. These Tommy Hilfiger Two Sneakers are my current favorites because I love that they are all white, but still have that classic Tommy Hilfiger red, white, and blue on the back of the ankle.

Both the dress and the sneakers run true to size, but if you are like me and are between a whole size and a half size, I would go up to the next half size. I am always between a size 6 and 6.5 in shoes and originally ordered the size 6 in these sneakers and they were just a half size too small. I sent them back (because my local Macy’s didn’t carry the same sneakers) and reordered the 6.5. They fit perfectly with a pair of no-show socks.

This Tommy Hilfiger shirtdress does tend to wrinkle, but if you travel with a steamer, or are traveling to a humid destination, the wrinkles will easily fall out. The material is a chambray type of material and hangs like a men’s button-down shirt making it so comfortable and carefree. I love mixing masculine and feminine looks together, and Tommy Hilfiger did a great job with this dress.

To add an extra layer and texture to the look, you could also tie a Tommy sweatshirt around your waist. This could even come in handy on planes since they can sometimes get a little chilly.
