Before you run out and forage for all the drift wood on the shore, make a list of natural places you feel the most calm and at peace.  Do you love the mountains and pine trees?  Are you more of an ocean lover?  Does the desert make you feel more like yourself?

Next, after you write down where you feel most at peace, create a physical or Pinterest vision board to stay inspired.  Add photos that you find on Pinterest, but add some that you find on Instagram and your search engine, as well.

Then, add textures, organic elements, and color schemes to your vision board.

Stones

Incorporating stones into your flooring or decor can make you feel like you’re living outdoors.  You can balance the cold vibes of the stones out with warm wooden tones and natural textiles.

Gems bring a sense of power and healing to your the inside of your home.  You can search for the meanings of certain gemstones to be sure you’re selecting the stones right for you, or you can just wing it and go for gems that bring you joy.

Plants

Plants are the most obvious organic element to bring into the house, but did you know that even if you don’t have a green thumb you can still master this trick?  By adding fake plants, you still get the feel of natural inside the house.

Tip:  Try foraging for dried plants to add to vases.  Look for pampas grass, yarrow, or eucalyptus.

I personally love adding different tones and textures to my home.  You can do this with wooden stools, really texture blankets or pillows.

You can find inexpensive organic elements to decorate with at stores like TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Home Goods, Target, and World Market.  If you aren’t sticking to a budget, try Joybird, Anthropologie, Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma, or Article.

Decorating with organic elements should come from the soul.  You should decorate your home with what feels right to YOU.  Don’t focus so much on what everyone else is doing.  It’s such an amazing feeling to find decor pieces that just feel right.
