Back-To-School Clothing

As we reach the end of the summer break, it will be time to start stocking on up on those back to school essentials. It will be time to search for new school uniforms and kids’ clothes. But what do you do with the clothing your kids have grown out of?

Don’t throw it all away.  Gently worn clothes can be turned into cash to support schools across the country!

A clothing company called Schoola is pioneering an initiative to help schools deal with budget cuts. And at the same time, you can save money by buying your kids’ new and gently-used clothes from the their website.  Everyone wins with Schoola, and you get to feel good about making a difference in other people’s lives.

About Schoola

Schoola was founded by parent, teacher, and former school principal, Stacey Boyd. She created the company in 2013 to raise much-needed funds for schools. The money made by Schoola helps kids to paint, draw and play sports and music. The money goes towards much-needed resources such as art supplies and musical instruments.

It all began with a handful of schools organizing clothing drives. Those clothes were then sold on the website at cut-down prices. All of the proceeds went to schools. Since its inception, Schoola has funded an orchestra, a school playground, and many other initiatives.  The company partners with more than 22,000 schools, some of which have raised more than $50,000 each.

Save Money And Help Your School

There are several ways in which you can utilize Schoola and help them in their efforts. When you’re shopping for back to school items this year, check out the bargains on they’re offering on their site. There are lots of gently worn clothes at amazing prices.  You’ll also find some brand new clothes with tags.  This includes branded items at massive discounts. Each item is checked carefully before being photographed and sold online, so you can trust the quality.

You can help Schoola by donating clothing your child has grown out of.  Simply request a donation bag from their website and then add your unwanted items. Your bag will be collected free of charge by your mail carrier. Most items are accepted, but be sure to check the website for specifics. Your child’s pre-loved clothes can then be loved by another child, and your school of choice will receive 40% of the proceeds of the sale, so everyone benefits.

The Malala Fund

There’s now a third way you can get involved and help Schoola to raise funds. They are teaming up with the Malala Fund’s #passthebag campaign. Request a free bag from Schoola and then fill it with secondhand kids’ and women’s clothing. Leave the filled bag for your mail carrier and Schoola will take it from there. Your donated items will be sold online with 40% of proceeds going to the Malala Fund and supporting girls’ education projects.

So, when your kids grow out of their clothes, consider donating them to Schoola. You will be helping other families to buy discounted clothing and supporting a school at the same time.
