diy: Glowing Centerpieces Using Rtgs Micro LED Lights
Decorating with lights just got easier with the RTGS Micro LED string lights. At first glance, I wondered how these little tiny bulbs were going to give off much light – they are literally not much bigger than a pin head. Much to my surprise, they are really bright and give off clean LED light. I was able to sample the 20, 30 and 100 micro LED string lights.

The shortest 20 light strand give you the best pick of colors – pink, green, red, blue, warm white and cold white. I found that the warm white color, which says it is a yellowish color, tends to be more towards a pinkish white, but still really light and bright. The 20 light strand is 7 feet long, with 4 inch spacing between lights. The 30 light warm white strand I sampled was 10 feet in length with similar spacing between lights. The 100 light strand was a whopping 30 feet long and also had 4 inch spacing, but has 6 feet of clear cable connecting to the transformer. So, really there is a length to fit any decorating need. Note, the 100 light strand uses a plug-in transformer, as opposed to the shorter lengths being battery operated.
Pros: Very bright light. Super thin wires that can be hidden easily. The RTGS Micro LED String Lights in 20 and 30 lengths can be used indoors and outdoors and are battery operated with tightly closing water resistant battery housings – great for holiday lighting! Great choice of lengths. All lengths are water submersible – nice for water centerpieces. Lights are cool to the touch, even after being on for several hours. The LED lights can last up to 35,000 hours, depending on location and usage conditions. Regular alkaline batteries are used in the battery compartments. The 30 and 60 light strands also have a 6 hour on/18 hour off revolving timer, so your lights will come on at the same time each day, for up to 2 weeks long! I liked that each strand has a good length of thin connecting wire between the battery pack or transformer, thus giving you enough space to attach the lights and hide the battery pack or transformer. Lights stay cool to the touch. Nice color choices. A good buy – priced between $6.05 and $17.95 on Amazon.
Cons: The lights cannot be connected end-to-end. The warm white light is more of a pinkish color than a yellowish warm white color. The pink light strand looked a little purplish in color, but still pretty. Even more color choices would be great.
Battery compartment. You can see that the pink lights give off a purplish hue.
The lights are very bright when submersed.
I definitely think I will be ordering a few more strands of the 100 string lights for my Christmas tree this year so I can eliminate my hour of untangling lights strands and figuring out which bulb is burned out! I’m also thinking about several strands of the pink lights for an upcoming baby shower and making some cute girlie centerpieces!
