Organic Mattress Protectors Aren’t Just for Cribs
Now that my {almost} three year old daughter is in a full size big girl bed, a waterproof mattress protector is a must. I’ve actually been searching at stores like Kohl’s and Target for them but seem to have no luck. I was recently introduced to a brand of organic mattress protectors called Gotcha Covered and found that their products are exactly what I’ve been in search of. I ordered the regular profile, natural colored full size mattress protector from Gotcha Covered for $107 and I’m so happy with my product.
Once I received my mattress protector, I washed it and once it was dry I put it on my daughter’s mattress under the fitted sheet. It’s so thin that you really don’t even notice it. It also stays on well so there’s no slipping or bunching while you sleep. Since we are in the process of potty training at night, the Gotcha Covered mattress protector has really come in handy. I can simply toss it in the washing machine with a similar load of laundry and wash it just like a normal sheet.
I’ve never really given much thought to having a waterproof mattress protector on my own bed. Why would I? It’s not like I wet the bed, right? However, with baby #2 on the way, I’ve been reminiscing of the times I would nurse my other daughter while laying in bed and the couple of times she vomited milk all over my bed. For these times, a waterproof mattress protector would’ve been great to have. Another fear of mine is having my water break mid-sleep. Again, the mattress protector would save the day.
Gotcha Covered’s Pure Collection Organic Mattress & Pillow Protectors are made with 100% GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic combed cotton. The Pure Collection Organic Mattress & Pillow protectors are soft and comfortable enough to be used as a bottom sheet, and the organic cotton jersey feels just like a favorite t-shirt. The 100% waterproof recycled polyurethane film is non-toxic and protects mattresses and pillows against dust mites, spills and more. Perfect for anyone with sensitive skin or allergies, they are proudly made in the USA. MSPR for the mattress protectors is $58-$140 (for Crib – King) and pillow protectors are $42-$53 (for Standard-King) in natural color. The protectors are also available for American Leather Comfort Sleepers.
Gotcha Covered product lines can be purchased at http://www.gotchacoveredusa.com/ and are available at national retailers, boutique specialty stores, hotels and B&B’s.
