Let’s face it. Microwave meals make life easy! They help alleviate the stress of our to-do list each day and there’s actually quite a few really tasty, fresh options out there – Freshly being one of them.
Freshly offers chef prepared meals delivered to your door in quantities of 6, 9, 12 or 21 once or twice per week. You can choose from a variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners that are precooked and ready for the microwave. It’s one of the easiest ways to enjoy healthy, all-natural meals without fussing with the shopping, cooking or cleaning.
I received a six-pack of Freshly lunches and dinners to sample with my family. The meals came in handy when my husband and I were in a pinch for lunch and we even ate some of the meals for dinner. Here’s an example of what a Freshly meal looks like:
One of my favorite meals was the steak stir-fry. This is a 260 calorie lunch with 33g of protein and 10g of fat. It was juicy and flavorful and was a really great substitute for a boring sandwich. This meal contains cabbage, broccoli, green beans, ginger, grapeseed oil, salt, coconut aminos, carrots, sesame oil, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, beef and spices.
Prices for Freshly Meal Plans
Depending on the package you order, you can get meals for as low as $10.90 per meal. You can spend anywhere from $69 to $229 in a week, which is a bit on the expensive side compared to our local meal prep company. The only problem with our local meal prep company is that you get the same meals every day. With Freshly, you can choose a variety of meals.
You also might be thinking that you could make the meals much cheaper yourself – but that’s where the problem lies, right? You never actually make the meals.
Is Freshly a good choice?
I see Freshly being a great option for someone who works away from home and needs to pack a breakfast lunch or dinner every day. Eating out one lunch per day for five days can add up, so Freshly might be a cheaper, healthier option to look into. Plus, the meals are so much better than those meals from the freezer section at the grocery store.
