Goodnight Lad
Reading apps are a dime a dozen in the app stores but I’ve never seen an app like Goodnight Lad. Goodnight Lad is a magical augmented reality children’s book where each page comes to life with beautiful animations that you can interact with to really get into the book. If you’re wondering what that even means, check out these animations to get a better idea.
The Goodnight Lad kickstarter campaign began on April 2nd. Goodnight Lad is a children’s book with an augmented reality companion app. By pointing your Android or iOS device at the book it comes to life with 3D Animations. You can tilt the book or move the device closer to get a different angle and it feels as if the characters are figures in a popup book. It works surprisingly well even in low lighting conditions and on older devices.
