GPS Origins DNA Test Kit Review
I recently thought it would be so much fun to figure out my ancestry origins to create a DNA-based bucket list. I recently partnered with GPS Origins to pinpoint my ancestry and I was so excited to find out the results.
For the longest time I have wanted to get my DNA tested to find out my family’s origins. I have been told my entire life that my dad is German, Irish and American Indian. I have been told that my mom’s side is Scottish, Swedish, Spanish, French and Indian (?).
GPS Origins sent me a DNA Testing Kit with Q-tip type cotton swabs to swab the insides of your cheeks. The idea is to collect as many cheek cells as possible. After completing the cheek swab process, you simply place your swabs in the paper envelope provided and place that in the mailing envelope. The testing process was very simple and required minimal effort on my part.
Results
I received my DNA results in about three weeks and I was very happy with results. Based on what I knew about my family, they seemed extremely accurate. GPS Origins has given me a feeling of closure, in a sense, because I now know where my ancestors came from and how they got to where they are now.
Through the GPS Origins website (www.gpsorigins.com), I was able to download all of my results to save forever.
