Maybe I’m just too sensitive, but I cannot stand household odors.  Household odors absolutely drive me batty and my obsession with deodorizing the house makes my husband crazy.  Do you ever notice the odors on your couch, decorative pillows, rugs, bedding, the litter box, pillows, etc.?  Most people have gone nose blind to their own home but I have a nose like a bloodhound and smell everything.

I recently partnered with Fresh Wave to try their natural line of products from Target to help deodorize my house.  If the products didn’t work, I wouldn’t be writing about them today, but they absolutely work like a charm.

Natural Odor Eliminators

Fresh Wave uses natural products to remove odors that promise not to harm your family or your home.  Their products smell like air fresheners and include water, natural extracts of lime, pine needle, aniseed, clove and cedarwood to get rid of organic and inorganic odors.  These ingredients actually work to remove the odorous molecules rather than cover them up like most air freshener products.

Uses for Fresh Wave Products

Travel – If you’ve ever been to a hotel or on a cruise ship, you might have noticed not-so-pleasant odors in the dresser or closet.  This is one of the most disgusting things to me while traveling.  The thought of putting my clothes in drawers that other peoples’ clothes have been is just gross, but I do it anyways.  (I know, I know).  Tossing Fresh Wave’s odor removing packs in the drawers absolutely help to remove the odors and are a must for keeping mildew smells and “travel odors” away.
Diaper Pail – Drop an odor removing packet into the bottom of the diaper pail to absorb odors.
Litter Box – We keep our litter box in our laundry room which is both a big mess and smells nasty.  I’ve had a container of odor removing gel in my laundry room since the beginning of January and it is still working just as good as the day I opened it.  Every few days I give the container a good shake to stir up the gel and natural scents and it’s like new each week.
Couch, Pillows and Mattress – The Fresh Wave spray is an amazing product.  Let me tell you…  It seriously removes odors from people, pets and whatever else makes odors on our fabrics.  When I strip the bed, I spritz this spray onto the mattress and our pillows to freshen them up.  It works like a charm on the couch and decorative pillows, too.
