Posh Pet Products from John Paul Pet
Reviewed by Patty

Our pug, Willie, suffers from seasonal skin allergies.  He scratches constantly during those times and his skin gets a strange, almost sweaty, kind of smell.  Even after visiting the vet for an allergy shot, he continues to scratch.  We have tried many of the pet store shampoos that are supposed to be formulated for skin problems.  So far, none of them seem to work for more than a few days, with most of them also having almost a “medicine-y” type of smell.

Disclosure:  Sponsored post. I also received various John Paul Pet products to facilitate my reviews during our holiday promotions.  My opinion is honest and my own.

We were lucky enough to be able to sample some John Paul Awapoochi shampoo and conditioner for pets.  This pair has a great lather and an even better fragrance.  Willies’ coat smelled good even before it dried, not like the usual “wet dog” smell I have noticed with other shampoos.  The light fragrance of these products smells a little like tropical fruit mixed with almonds.  Almost makes you want to taste them!  After Willie dried from his bath, I used some of the Tea Tree Conditioning Spray on his underbelly where he has a little redness from the allergies.

Another product we were given to sample was the Pet Tooth and Gum wipes.  Our dog also has issues with keeping his teeth clean because he is a bolt eater (eats all his food at once and chokes) and can only eat wet dog food, thus not getting the cleaning action from crunching down on dry kibble.  We have tried using a dog toothbrush on him, which he hated!  I used a couple of the Tooth and Gum wipes and just gently wiped down the outer surface of his teeth and gums.  He didn’t seem to mind at all and it was easy to do without traumatizing him with the toothbrush.
John Paul has a great selection of products for pets – from shampoos and conditioning rinses to conditioning sprays and pet wipes.  John Paul even makes products for horses!  They have a solution for most pet concerns and their products are actually tested on humans for safety.
All fresh and clean!
