CAMP – An Amazing DVD Inspired by True Stories

Disclosure:  Compensated post.  All opinions expressed in this post are honest and based on our personal experience.

I just got finished watching an awesome DVD called CAMP (a tear jerker).  CAMP was inspired by true stories and events and teaches a great lesson about healing from your troubled past and unconditional love.  I don’t want to give away too much but I want you to at least see the trailer before I go on.

To begin, an unlikely counselor/camper pair is teamed up at a kid’s camp for abused and neglected children.  The money-driven, materialistic investment advisor, Ken, is thrown into a counselor position at the kid’s camp and is in it for all the wrong reasons while Eli, a severely abused and neglected kid, struggles with the wounds of his past and acts out against Ken.  Over the course of the movie, Ken’s heart begins to soften as he learns about Eli’s troubled past as Eli begins to confide in him.  An unexpected visit from Eli’s father turns things around in a negative way which leaves Ken at a crossroad.  Ken must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice to help Eli understand the true meaning of unconditional love.  Read more…
I honestly love everything about this film.  The acting, the story, the ending…  I love a good inspirational story and I hope you do, too.
(DVD – $16.95, Blu Ray $24.95)
I don’t recommend this film for younger children as there is some foul language and violence.  The film is rated PG13 so please use your best judgement before letting your kids watch it.
