Are you a nursing mom looking for some great products? You’ve come to the right place. This article features some of my favorite products from three leaders in the breastfeeding industry. From chic nursingwear to milk storage, we’ve got you covered. Plus, scroll all the way down for a giveaway!
Fairhaven Health’s website is loaded with useful breastfeeding products. They have everything from products to preserve your milk to products to enhance your milk supply and so much more. What’s even better is their products are all natural and safe for you and your baby. Here are some of my favorite products from Fairhaven Health:
Milkies Milk Tray (MSRP $21.95)
Milk Trays, a breast milk freezing system, can help to make this chore easier. At first glance, Milk Trays look similar to typical ice cube trays. But, take a closer look and you will see that Milk Trays are much, much more. Unlike ice cube trays, Milk Trays are specifically designed for expressed milk.
What I love about these Milk Trays is that small amounts of breast milk are easy to access. We’re at the stage of incorporating first foods into baby Kendall’s diet which means rice cereal and those yummy baby bananas, etc. The instructions on the rice cereal package advises parents to mix the cereal with breast milk. Thanks to the Milk Trays, I’m able to pop out a stick and quickly defrost it for each serving.
Milkies Nursing Postnatal (MSRP $15.95)
Milkies Nursing Postnatal provides comprehensive vitamin and mineral support, including 100% Daily Value of several vitamin and minerals, and extra amounts of key vitamins known to be especially important for lactating women, including Vitamin D and B vitamins.
I was just about out of my prenatal vitamins, which I’ve been told are totally fine to use while breastfeeding, but I wanted a supplement that was geared specifically for breastfeeding. I have a hard time remembering to eat properly throughout the day as I can get overwhelmed with parental duties and household chores, so I always try to take my daily vitamin supplements. These vitamins have a “vitamin-y” odor but don’t have any weird aftertaste.
Milkies Nursing Time Tea (MSRP $16.95)
Nursing Time Tea is the all-natural herbal tonic designed to help nursing mothers increase their milk flow and soothe digestive unease of both mother and baby. The herbal ingredients in Nursing Time Tea have been used for centuries to promote healthy lactation and bring quick relief to both mothers and colicky or “gassy” newborns.
Nursing Time Tea brings together a select array of safe and proven ingredients to aid nursing in three ways: enhancing the quantity and quality of available milk; alleviating digestive complaints, including gas, indigestion and colic; and providing a rich spectrum of nutritive vitamins and minerals central to robust and healthy nursing.
About a month ago I noticed my milk supply changing so I started drinking this tea. Since this tea is caffeine-free I like to enjoy it at night with a little stevia in it. I’ve also started waking the baby up twice during the night to feed, instead of once. Those two tactics combined with increased water throughout the day have increased my milk supply tremendously.
Milkies Softies Nursing Pads ($14.95 – 3 pairs)
Milkies Softies Nursing Pads have a unique 3-layer design that guards against leaks without adding bulk or puffiness to your bra. A plush 100% bamboo layer rests lightly against your skin, and wicks moisture away quickly. The inner microfiber layer is microbe and leak resistant. Designed by nursing moms for nursing moms, Softies keep breastfeeding moms dry and comfortable.
I prefer to use my Milkies nursing pads at night. I use disposable pads during the day because they have the adhesive backs and it’s easy for me to prevent a wardrobe malfunction but when I get home at night, I just want to be comfy. I typically wear a cami with a built-in-bra to bed and just tuck my milkies in to prevent leakage. They are so soft and do a great job absorbing during the midnight feedings.
Check out these other great products from Fairhaven Health:
Milkies Milk-Saver (MRSP $27.95)
Ask any mom and she’ll tell you: breast milk is a precious commodity. Women will go to great lengths to ensure that not a drop of “liquid gold” gets wasted.
That’s precisely what makes the award-winning Milkies Milk-Saver such a wonderful invention for breastfeeding mothers. The patented Milk-Saver collects your leaking breast milk as you nurse – allowing you to store extra breast milk effortlessly with each feeding.
Milkies Nipple Nurture Balm (MSRP $9.95)
Milkies Nipple Nurture Balm is safe for both mom and baby. Organic herbal ingredients are combined with natural moisturizers to help provide soothing relief, heal affected areas, and even prevent cracks from reappearing. Our nipple balm is lanolin-free, is not tested on animals, and contains no artificial colors, preservatives or animal products!
Nursing bras come in so many different shapes and designs but a lot of them fail to actually meet the nursing or pumping mother’s needs. I have a handful of nursing bras that I favor, including the new Nourish Bra from BeliBea.
What I love about the Nourish bra is that each breast is covered by two layers. The inside layer has a slit that securely holds a breast pump shield in place so I can be a hands-free pumping momma. It typically takes me about 15 minutes to pump so if the girls are napping I like to sit and work on the blog while I pump.
The second layer of the bra covers the inside layer and unsnaps from the top, which is unlike other nursing/pumping bras that I own. For breastfeeding, though, you need both layers to come down and the BeliBea does that too. Just take a close look at the images to the left to get a better idea of how it works.
This bra fits like a comfortable sports bra and is very supportive for my ever changing boobie sizes. It’s also seamless so I’m able to wear it alone under a shirt, without a cami. The v-neck scoop is also a great feature that I notice most nursing bras don’t have.
Navy Blue High-Low Nursing Dress ($59.99 – milknursingwear.com)
Milk Nursingwear is making it easier for fashion-forward nursing mommies to stay on point with their style game. As a nursing mommy myself, I know how difficult it is to find nursing clothes that are age-appropriate, professional enough (or casual enough) for any event and that don’t break the bank. Also, some brands say their clothes are “breastfeeding-friendly” but I’ve found that not to be true in many cases.
This high-low dress looks like a simple, trendy Spring dress until you lift the chest piece. When on, this dress looks like anything but a breastfeeding-friendly dress, which is exactly what I was looking to wear to an upcoming wedding. It’s so comfortable to wear all day and looks so cute with a neutral or gray pair of heels.
The Milk Nursingwear website carries everything from dresses and tops to slings, sleepwear and more. This dress is actually on sale right now for $47.99 which is a fantastic price.
I don't like nursing in nicer sit down restaurants. I also have nursed in a bathroom sitting on a toilet.

I haven't started nursing yet. But my friend had to do it in the car just before we went to a concert. Kinda crazy with so many people walking by.

The most awkward place was in the grocery store bathroom. It was my first time out with my baby, he was fussy, I was nervous, so I nursed him for a bit in the bathroom.
