In these days of iPhones, tablets and other distracting toys it can be difficult to come up with ideas to inspire creativity in our kids. Music has always been one of my creative outlets and I see my daughter naturally turning to music, as well. Yes, I do but not as regularly as I used to!
I played the violin in elementary and junior high, and I can pick out a song on a piano….but I'm not sure if that really counts.

I have never played an instrument, but my son does play the trumpet. My middle child is very musically inclined, loves to play any kind of instrument, but has not had any real lessons yet.
