Easter Basket Ideas for Girls: Minimal & Meaningful Finds from Amazon

Last updated: January 2026 – I’ve updated this Easter basket guide with fresh ideas, current favorites, and simple, meaningful picks kids actually love.

Easter is always a fun time of year, but if I’m being totally honest, the Easter basket part of it all has never been my favorite.

I feel like the focus of Easter has drifted pretty far from its true meaning — and I’m definitely part of the problem. I’ve never really been into the idea of the Easter Bunny delivering baskets overflowing with goodies… but once you start when your kids are babies, there’s kind of no turning back. Now that my girls are 4 and 7, the baskets are here to stay.

And before we go any further: this is a no-judgment zone.
If you love going all-out with Easter baskets, then truly — you go, Glen Coco. (If you get that reference, we’re officially friends.)

Why I’m Switching to More Minimal Easter Baskets

Year after year, my girls end up with Easter baskets full of things that are exciting to open… but quickly turn into just more stuff. Most of it gets forgotten within weeks.

Yet somehow, they always beg for novelty toys — surprise toys, blind bags, collectible figurines, and tiny trinkets. So this year, I’m meeting them halfway.

Instead of completely skipping the fun stuff, I’m creating more minimalist Easter baskets with:

  • Just a couple small novelty toys

  • A book

  • One piece of clothing

  • A stuffed animal or plush

  • One or two practical or decorative items

Still fun. Still special. Just less clutter.

You can also mix and match with:

  • Spring clothing or pajamas

Final Thoughts on Easter Baskets

Whether you go big, small, or somewhere in between, Easter baskets should feel joyful — not stressful. This year, I’m focusing on fewer items, better choices, and letting go of the pressure to make baskets over-the-top.

If you’re feeling the same way, I hope this list gives you a little inspiration (and permission) to simplify 💛
