Hyland’s Cold ‘N Cough Products – Exclusive Test & Tell Review Opportunity

Back in mid December, I offered my readers the chance to test out a Hyland’s Cold medicine product by offering a $1 off coupon.  Once they tested out a product, I asked that they send me a short review of the product as well as an optional picture.  To those who participated in my test and tell event, I offered a giveaway of a Hyland’s kids prize pack worth over $80.

The Test and Tell Turnout

I had 11 readers initially ask to participate in this exclusive event, but only 6 readers submitted their reviews.

About Hyland’s Baby Tiny Cold Tablets

“Sniffles and coughs barge into a healthy baby’s system as fast as a sneeze and a bless you! Our Tiny Cold Tablets are just as pushy.  They pull up the welcome matt fast and shoo away runny noses and congestion.  Relief comes in and insists that the cold germs take a hike.  No need for artificial anything.  Just all natural cold medicine that knows its place and does its job.”

My Experience

My family tried the Cold ‘N Cough 4 Kids, Baby Cough Syrup and Tiny Cold Tablets and we love them all.  About the same time as my test and tell event launched, my daughter and I came down with a bad cold that lasted 3 weeks.  We started out with horrible runny noses, coughs and sore throats.  I was very amazed with how well the Tiny Cold Tablets worked for my daughter.  They helped her runny nose and congestion and she loves taking them.  I personally took the Cold ‘N Cough 4 kids and it really did work to ease my cough.  The flavor was fantastic, like juice.  I gave my daughter the Baby Cough Syrup and it amazingly worked like a charm, too.  My family is a Hyland’s family for life.

Let’s see what our Test & Tell Participants had to say about their Hyland’s Products:

Brittani B. – (Purchased at Babies R Us)

“I purchased the Hyland’s tiny cold tablets and have been very happy with the results! I love that the product is natural and not full of yucky drugs so I feel safe to give this to my children. The small packaging is perfect to fit into a diaper bag and my children don’t mind taking them at all. I did notice that their noses did stop running and they seemed to feel much better. For the price of just under $8 I think that this is a great homeopathic remedy for the runny nose that all moms have to battle from time to time! I will defiantly be recommending this to all my other mom friends as well as the teething tablets! I swear by those things!! Thank you Hyland’s for making such a great product I can trust!!!”

Monica Platz – (Purchased on Amazon $8.60)

“I loved this product — it is all natural, sugar free, really DOES taste pretty good and has no after-taste! It doesn’t stimulate my kids or make them sleepy and doesn’t contain any aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, so it’s safe to use with other meds without the risk of over-dosing. It’s gentle and safe! I like that it allowed my kids to sleep at night so that they could actually get the rest that they needed to heal, without coughing all night. I also appreciated that it worked quickly.”

Sandling All Day – (Purchased at Walgreens $4.99)

“I tried Hyland’s Cough & Cold on my 7yr old, who seems to be sick all the time. (schools…yuck!) Before I give him a new medicine, I ALWAYS check the taste. Compared to the multitudes of medicines that came before it, it had a really great taste.
My son had no problem taking it, so that was a bonus. I love that it’s all natural, so I don’t have to worry about what ingredients are in it, and if they’re harmful to my child. I really like that it doesn’t have the side-effects that his usual cough syrup has, which cause him to get really drowsy. While it’s great at night, it doesn’t work well for daytime, which means I have to buy a second medicine.
The main thing that I liked, was that it worked! His throat felt better, he sneezed and coughed less, and I didn’t have to give it to him as often.
All in all, I would highly recommend Hyland’s Cough & Cold, and moreso, I’d use it again!”

Fan Rakhim (Teddy Out-Ready) – (Purchased at S And H HEALTH FOODS – PROMENAD $6)
“Teddy is a very active boy and has lots of activities during a week including swimming, skating and gym. He also goes to a daycare and attends different kid’s events. So with his schedule and interactions it is easy to get sick. That’s why when I was offered to review a Hyland’s product for kids I was eager to learn more about homeopathic medicines for kids. After some research and other parents guidance I decided to give it a try because on Wednesday this week Teddy had a terrible fever above 40C and did not sleep well.
I checked http://www.hylands.ca store locator and found one close to us, so we went there and bought Hyland’s Cold’n Cough 4 kids. Great that the store had 20% off Hyland products that day.
By the time we got our Hyland’s Cold’n Cough 4 kids Teddy’s temperature dropped but he started coughing, having nasal congestion and sore throat. First time Teddy refused to take the medicine so we just forced a little bit. The effect was right away Teddy slept the whole night without any cough and his eyes became clearer of cold symptoms.
Today is Saturday and we continue giving him the medicine, and I hope he will be fine by the end of Sunday. I like that Hyland’s Cold’n Cough 4 kids is a homeopathic syrup, sugar free, safe and effective as it is a relief for multiple cold symptoms(they usually appear altogether).
Teddy is very picky with tastes, Hyland’s Cold’n Cough 4 kids is fine, not irritating and not sweet, but Teddy is still getting used to it, but at least for now my boy does not refuse to take it.
It is very disappointing to get sick during holidays, and I expect Teddy will better very soon so we can continue our activities, there are so many to enjoy this holiday season.”

BxChe@psk@t3 (Purchased at Rite Aid, $9.29)
“A couple of weeks ago, I received a coupon for a new Hyland’s product, cough syrup for kids. I was excited about this because I’ve been using Hyland’s Teething Tablets for over 7 years now and I loved them. Hyland’s has 100% natural products and since I was raised in the mountains of Puerto Rico, I’m always on the lookout for products similar to the home made remedies I was so accustomed to.
My grandfather claimed to be direct descendant of the Taino Indians and was always teaching us ways to use nature for our health. Honey was always prevalent in any home remedy that was prepared to combat our colds and flu’s. Being a single mother, it’s hard to whip up the remedies I need for my kids and sometimes I can’t find the ingredients necessary for the recipes. Hyland’s new cough and cold medication line meets my needs. These products are all natural and even smell like pure honey. My girls loved the medicine so much, they actually asked me to make them peanut butter and honey sandwiches made from the medicine!!!
When any store bought medication tastes and smells so good that the kids want it for lunch, it scores high on my mom approved products list. It’s sometimes difficult to get the girls to drink medication since they are rarely sick, but they were lining up for more Hyland’s Cough Syrup. I would definitely purchase this again for my girls, even though it was difficult to find at first. The price is more than most conventional medications out their, but for some reason natural products are always more expensive.”

Vonnie from Search With Vonnie – (Purchased at Walgreens for $4.48)

“The price of Hyland’s was comparable with other cold and cough medicine. Paying $7.99 (which was what my Walgreen’s regular price) was agreeable to me.  But this time, my Walgreen had all Hyland’s products on sale for $4.99.  Having the coupon, I only paid $4.48 (tax included).  My son who had to take this product told me that there was no flavor.  No medicine taste which is good for kids.  Taking the medicine, my son was able to sleep without all the coughing from his cold. I like the idea of giving medicine that works and that is safe for my kids.” Full review HERE.
