StriVectin Hair Products
Many of you may have seen StriVectin Hair products at your local Sephora store, but if you’re like most of us, you aren’t going to drop a Benjamin on a hair care system without knowing about it first.
I’m the same way — so I did a little bit of research!
What I found out about StriVectin is that they carry a couple of different hair care systems or “solutions” as they call them. These hair solutions are Ultimate Restore, Max Volume and Color Care. The names are pretty self explanatory and they are all color coded to make it easy for you while shopping.
StriVectin’s NIA-114 Technology
StriVectin really promotes their NIA-114 Technology which sounds super scientific and looks great written on their product packaging. But what is NIA-114?
According to their website, NIA-114 is “a patented proprietary technology that supercharges StriVectin’s clinically proven, award winning products.”
What on earth does that mean?
NIA-114 was developed by skin scientists during 35 years of research. It is scientifically proven to reinvigorate your hair or skin’s surface (depending on whether you’re using a skincare product or haircare product) for optimal performance. It’s supposed to strengthen and nourish the moisture barrier, inhibit the impact of environmental aggressors and intensify the efficacy of other ingredients.
But what is NIA-114?
Based on the ingredients lists of the Shampoo shown above, NIA-114 is a system of ingredients that help improve the health of your skin, scalp and hair.
Max Volume Hair Solution
The Max Volume conditioner works a little differently by increased the strand diameter for improved thickness and strength. This is essentially a film around each hair that is formed by that special NIA-114 formula and their Protensile Amplifying Complex. Seems pretty straight forward, right?
The Root Lifting Spray helps to lift the roots for a bouncy, manageable volume. It’s a little like a hairspray that isn’t crunchy or stiff, mixed with a mousse which adds volume. And it smells like citrus!
The Bodifying Radiance Serum adds luster and softness to dry, lackluster hair.
