Holiday Gift Guide: Two Classic Childhood Favorites…

Lots of families are turning to the classics this holidays season.  The classic toys seem to last longer and inspire creativity and imagination unlike some of the newer toys these days.  We are excited to share two of our all-time-favorites with you and give you some ideas for gift giving this holiday season.
First, who remembers Lincoln Logs?  …the smell of the wooden logs, the sound when you dump them out of their container… it’s a timeless favorite that the entire family can participate in.  The lack of lights and sounds encourages children to use their imaginations and to exercise their patience as they create masterpieces.
Product Description:  The BIGGEST Lincoln Logs set ever created – over 330 parts, including real wood Lincoln Logs, just like you remember!  Includes a frontiersman figure, 2 horses and a buildable covered wagon that really moves.  Packaged in a beautiful, silver-accented tube for durable storage.
For ages 3+.  Suggested Retail Price is $99.99.
Available at target.com, amazon.com, walmart.com and knex.com.
Another fun classic is TinkerToy!  With TinkerToys, the possibilities are endless.  Let you little ones imagination and creativity take over as you watch them stay occupied for hours.  We’re not a fan of the smaller parts in this box but found a solution to keeping it all contained – Zip-Lock baggies!  They work great for organizing the pieces and help keep them from getting lost.
Product Description:  Build a whole bunch with your favorite TINKERTOY parts! The TINKERTOY 30 Model Super Building Set includes spools, rods, flags, washers, end caps, and more!  Includes building ideas for 30 models.  Your child can add these parts to another TINKERTOY building set (sold separately) or build anything they imagine!
For ages 3+.  Suggested Retail Price is $49.99.  Available at amazon.com and knex.com.

  1. I would donate this to the local Boy's and Girl's Club if I won. They recently opened and need toys of all types to keep the kids busy and off the streets!

  2. This would be a wonderful toy for my two youngest children, Jacob and Hannah. I would love to give it to them to see what they will create.
